The Eleventh Day of Blogmas...Eve

Christmas Cards

I don't understand most cards, I can just about deal with Birthday cards, but when I do a birthday card, it's usually handmade; with a thoughtful aimed at the person comment inside.

So the thought of writing:

To ______

Happy Christmas

From ______

about fifty times- I physically couldn't do it.

I've been quite cynical in these, I adore christmas- just not the way it's portrayed sometimes...

The Tenth day of Blogmas... Eve

So like I mentioned last time; today's TV marathon (sort of) consisted of:

 Two Broke Girls (x2)
The Glee Project (x2)
Hugo

Firstly; I'm in love with Max Black. I want to be her. just ahhh.

Secondly; BLAKE WON. My prediction is true.

Thirdly; Hugo is beyond beautiful and amazing. Not a typical Christmas film, but somehow gives the atmosphere of a christmas films. If you don't know about, it's kinda hard to explain- I got the impression of Dr Parnasuss Imaginarium Enporium crossed with The Polar Express.. I think that does it justice- just :)

So that was the majority of my day- how was yours?

The Ninth Day of Blogmas...Eve

It's currently 9:25pm on Christmas Eve.
I am determined to complete the twelve days of Blogmas before Christmas day.

Today's topic:
Tracking Santa!

If you don't know From about 9am GMT on Christmas Eve you can track Santa on his majestic journey across the Earth; I haven't been as avid of tracking him as usual due to my film marathon today (see next post).

However, currently at 9:31pm GMT Santa is in Zimbabwe- isn't it just riveting?

See for yourself..

On the Eighth Day of Blogmas

What does Santa get for Christmas?

That is all

On the Seventh Day of Blogmas

A few days before christmas for my family is normally piled up with birthdays. Yep; birthdays. Well; it;s not exactly piled, but theres 2. So my last couple of days have been about birthdays; two 18ths and a 21st in total.

So yeah, that's my couple of days. Nothing christmassy to report here mister Claus....

On the Sixth Day of Blogmas

Adventures, Weather, Songs...
TREES.

There's totally a logical link there..
My christmas tree annoys me, as a (fantastically brilliant *cough*) person, who adores bright colours (and the word adore); it seems apparent to me that a christmas tree should be dressed apropriatly, decked out in every colour under the star, tinsel, sparkley things, ornaments that mean something etc etc.

..Not in this house.

We have a black, fake tree, with white lights already rigged through it. I am allowed (because I'm the only one that bothered doing the tree) to put on silver tinsel, a couple of snowflake streamers, handful of glitter baubles and an angel at the top the size of my index finger.
can't stand it.

As for the reminscient ornaments; two.
Both of which I made, one when I was about eleven and went to a christmas crafts day with my friend and her parents; and one I made a bout 2 weeks ago. The first, is a giant pinecone covered in PVA glue and dipped in gold glitter, and then a pink ribbon attached to it. The latter- a Santa head made of Hama (I'm sure I'll blog about that in the new year)- which I think is mega cool :)

And when you're the one putting them on tree, they kinda lose the value.

Rant over, If my future husband is reading this- prepare for the Christmas Tree to end all.

SPeaking of ending- Congratulations on survivng the Apocalapse

On the Fifth Day of Blogmas

I astound myself how good I am at this Blogmas shizzle...

So today was good: last day of school before the holidays, waited at the post office for 40mins to pick up a present I bought; lunch out with the besties (Pizza Hut, becuase we are the classiest of people); early presents and in a few hours I get to feel like santa and give out all the presents to my other friends.

My lunch out is todays main topic, at there is 9 people in my friendship group, after one diasterous year of everyone getting someone else something priced about £1- mainly chocolate (got a bit boring after a while) we've decided ever since to do a Secret Santa, and we're getting better each year.

So I had my friend Leanne, and I bought her some arty things as she likes art. But as I'm vain I shall now proceed to talk more about the present I got. CAUSE ITS AWESOME

KickthePJ poster.
If you don't know- basically he's pretty, and a youtuber and the posters just cool.
and then white chocolate. Beautiful.

I also got rocky road. nom.

On the Fourth Day of Blogmas

Okay, so if you're observant you'll notice day 3 and 4 are the same day, and the gap between day 2 and 3 is about two weeks. Organisation isn't my strong point.. can you tell?

So todays (second) post is linked to earliers one. If you scroll down a little bit, you'll notice I wrote a list of my favourite christmas songs. However; I slightly lied in that post. Although 'All I Want For Christmas is You' is my favourite christmas song, it's predominantly the Mariah Carey version (obviously, duh)

But a song I just brushed on in the previous post, is my one true love. Any version, any singer, and I will belt it out with no shame. Baby, It's Cold Outside. Honestly, I love this song, because the whole thing is just one big tease, which I find kinda fun and awesome.. (and me)

SO
Continuing with the list theme, here's a very comprehensive (ha) list of my favourite covers of the beautiful; Baby, It's Cold Outside...yep, all two of them.

Carrie Hope Fletcher + Tom Law

 Cameron Mitchell + Lindsay...something

On the Third day of Blogmas...

Most of my posts (a grand total of 1) have been lists, so here's another one.
Christmas Songs! Love 'em or hate 'em... you still probably love them...

All I Want for Christmas is You
...soo cute, especically if you have someone special to sing it for you ;)

Fairytale of New York
- It seems this is like marmite (you know; love/hate) but opposing my view on actual marmite it's just so good- especially the choice of lyrics

Last Christmas
- I think Christmas brings out my romantic side... again- just so cute

Do They Know it's Christmas?
-As someone that adores the idea of charity, this is just awesome, and it's catchy too

Christmas Time (Don't let the Bells Ring)
- yeah, it sounds like every other Darkness song- but is that such a bad thing?

Baby It's Cold Outside
- I know, another mushy one, but again... just so good!

Jingle Bell Rock
- just think Mean Girls, enough said really

...I should get back to my Coursework now...

On the Second day of Blogmas

So I haven't done anything particularly christmassy the last few days, after the market. However the great mark of winter is here. Some people adore it, some despise it... and most of us are in the middle. one word, four letters.

SNOW

Yep, it snowed. there is snow on the ground. So I may of not done much christmassy this week, however, the sky obviously feels differently. This leads me to

A list of the best things to do in snow: (in no particular order)
  • Snow angels- rolling in the snow and making shapes: wooo
  • Snowball fights- the obvious one, as long as it's not with entirely mean people- so fun
  • Sledging- best sort involves a sheet of tarpaulin and a bundle of friends
  • Snowman- although mine have never been the works of art to avenge the ones on TV- it's something you've just gotta do
  • Igloo- something I've never fully mastered as of yet- but it's an ambition
  • Painting- not fully tried, but water and food colouring in squirty bottles to make colours and patterns

On the First day of Blogmas:

Yesterday, on the 1st December (that came around quick, right?!) I went to a German Christmas market in Birmingham. It felt really odd walking around the traditional wooden stalls selling Stollen, Lebkuchen and Bratwurst, but lovely nonetheless. As someone that enjoys different cultures, and having experienced the traditional German culture before, I think it made the experience even better.

Although, for anyone the has been to Birmingham Bullring Shopping centre on a good day, knows it is jampacked and at one point in the market we were literally at a standstill in a crowd: a situation which I took advantage by 'Baaa'ing quite loudly; the suggestions of crowd surfing and starting a mosh pit were also discussed between me and my boyfriend, Tom whilst stuck in the stationary crowd.

So as a first day of advent, that was more Christmassy than I expected.
