the small things.

It's a common, easily found out characteristic of mine that I can get very excited about the small things. Generally resulting in burst of euphoria in everyday life.
Here's a few things that can bring out extreme happiness in me. The emotions are so strong I can't explain it. So I'll have to list. (this now sounds like a mental condition)

-films
it is not uncommon to hear a AAAAAAH YESSSS. purely from a good quote or scene, mainly close calls, some epic moments ('That only counts as one..') ('We can see you Sid') ('well baby I'm a bit biFURIOUS')
.. I could do an entire post on the best moments in film... it would be a long post

-jokes
I get really proud of my jokes, and usually announce this following the joke. In particular a good chemistry joke. I also occasionally jump if it's really that good in my head.

Nature
this is less of audible dog-pitch squeal like the others, but just extreme contempt with everything around me and an urge to skip down the road. (nb. Sun is usually required, extreme(ish) weather also works)

Science
This hasn't happened much academically for a while, which is slightly odd, but little facts I read online, usually get the Alex squeal if they are worth it.

Glee
Although I suppose could technically fit into film, but I get soooo immersed in glee, it's like it's my real world. And I feel all height of emotions with it (we have a special connection)

and finally, the thing that sparked this...

What do you call a sad electron..

Electronegative

(AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH)

(That may require at least A level Chemistry to understand full)

...most jokes have age ratings... mine have qualification ratings

Jungle Boogie

One more quick post before I have to get up for 7.30am tomorrow.

My Disney analysis thing from a while ago? I have a new one, I recently watched Jungle Book and Jungle Book 2. Two films I genuinely have no recall of watching, or at least not watching whilst old enough to enjoy a plot, not just a song.

As for favourite character; I'll be honest, I'm not mega keen on Mowgli, only because it's extremely obvious he's a child and the animals (and adults in #2) know better than him, but he thinks he's too good to listen to them. I'm pretty drawn to Baloo, he's like the fun uncle and the slow wit is pretty adorable. Actually, I was going to argue between Bagheera and Baloo. But Baloo's got it.

Jungle Book 2 is an astounding outright winner: Shanti (Who I later found out was voiced by Mae Whitman. Amazed.) Ranjan was cute and the tiger impressions were amazing, but the majority of the time, he was more of a hindrance. Although Shanti's pretty weedy and it was her scaredness getting them into the whole trouble, I liked that she tried hard to impress the adults (without trying too hard) and tried to follow the rules. I mean, if she didn't do her chores, she'd have never met Mowgli.

However (and it's a big one) I have a bone to pick with Jungle Book 2. [This contains slight spoilers] At the end, where on Earth did that lava come from, as far as I'm aware there is no explanation whatsoever throughout the entire film of how it came to be there. There isn't even volcanoes in India. Least not in the jungle that provide a random appearing out of nowhere canyon with lava at the bottom. Also that death (avoiding spoilers) is very Scar-like from Lion King, if I remember it correctly.

While I'm criticising, Bagheera found Mowgli as a baby and basically allowed him to live, yet Mowgli knows Baloo for an entire 2 days in Jungle Book and completly disregards Bagheera. And calls Baloo his father. What is up with that.

Apart from that, I was overall impressed with my Jungle experiance.

Take a step into our world...

Oh hey blog,
it's been a while, I know. This summer has been pretty darn intense.

As for the update on from the last post. It works. and that's happened twice in the last few months.

Today's been a slightly reminiscent day for me, thinking of home, memories, old memories, overall pretty good and relaxing. Since I'm in the mood (not for dancing) I thought I'd explain some personal things that are currently surrounding me. Sort of a niche room tour.

Enjoy (to the like 2 of you reading this)

I made this at work. I work with children and one day one of the other adults came in with this, which was her sons and let the children make some, some went wrong, which obviously the children didn't want, so I took the coolest looking one and painted it; and that is why there is a melting TARDIS on my desk.

I made this when I was about 12 in an Art/English Lesson, I think it's possibly the piece of work I am most proud of more than anything ever. I think it looks beautiful and considering at the age of 12 I despised art (nothing changes) and things never seem to go right for me art wise. I am tremendulously proud of this and that shows as it's never been in that bag of old school work, this was in the teachers classroom for most of a year, and has been on my bedroom wall ever since.

Firstly, the Lego bricks are from Denmark, they actually stick together like Lego bricks, I can build whatever shape I want from them, and they are like snowglobes, so if I shake them, glitter falls over the pictures. I love them. I also love the people in them. And especially the chocolate biscuits behind them...

Youtube, friends, tigers, quotes, chemistry and me. That's everything from right to left. Mainly though are those four impeccable letters there. Each designed by a different friend and then presented to me along with a set of photos with said friends posing with them. We've been told we give the best birthday presents. We really freakin' do. However, missing from this wall which is now there is an amazing drawing of Luna Lovegood, but I like to pretend it's a drawing of me in Hogwarts uniform.

I'll try to commit to you more often Blogger.
I won't leave you for any of the other social networking websites.
Yet.
